Standing in Solidarity with the Hostages and Their Families
The University’s administration will allow faculty members to participate in solidarity events taking place nationwide on August 17

On Sunday, August 17, solidarity events and a protest strike will be held across the country in support of the hostages and their families. Our hearts are with them, and we call for every possible effort to secure their safe return.
At this time, it is especially important to uphold mutual responsibility, humanity, and moral integrity. In solidarity with the suffering of the hostages, and to strengthen their families and friends in this difficult time, Bar-Ilan University will allow faculty members who wish to participate in the day of solidarity and protest to do so. Further guidelines will be announced soon. Exams scheduled for Sunday will take place as planned.
At the same time, we will continue advancing the University’s academic and research activities, and supporting reservists, the wounded, bereaved families, and those displaced from their homes, even as we face ongoing pain.
